About this deal

These desktop drives are halogen-free, demonstrating Toshiba Coporation's golbal commitment to Environmentally Conscious Products (ECPs) that have minimal environmental impact. You should disable sector reallocation event with ARRE option, but i can't remember if MRT has such option.

There are several actions that could trigger this block including submitting a certain word or phrase, a SQL command or malformed data. It's possible that the hard drive is failing, especially with the Short DST - fail and slow read speeds.Since you still have access to the hard drive, I recommend performing a backup of your important files ASAP.

As part of this voluntary initiative, Toshiba has reduced or eliminated additional hazardous substances in the DT01ACA drives. However it is easy enough to change cables and try drive on another system just by plugging into a higher number sata port on another desktop. Personally I think the Toshiba hard drives are the poorest ever offered and don't be so sure that it really passed any tests because they have been known to pass failed drives. If i remember well, mrt does have SUPER OFF option, it might help to speed up cloning process, if all this will not help than most likely your drive had weak heads. Did Seatools testing, it had a hard time reading aswell and the result was "Short DST - fail", but i'm unable to find any more information about it.
