About this deal
As the name suggests, kneaded erasers can be stretched and molded into different shapes depending on the area you are working on. Implementing them accordingly over your drawing paper, you get to avail yourself of the function from the kneaded eraser. A kneaded eraser known as eraser putty or putty rubber is a great and specialized eraser for artists.
Aside from its very adorable appearance, I also like its efficiency, especially when it comes to correcting and lightening multiple art media such as charcoal, graphite, colored pencil, and pastels. It does not leave any messy residue on your working space; it can keep your surface clean and dust-free. Drawing was my passion from an early age but I also love to do some DIY projects to spend my leisure.
You should also stretch and knead it regularly; this keeps the erase from stiffening up and cracking.A test that I like to do, is to see if I can easily roll the putty to a point and also flatten it down without it changing shape or crumbling. As long as you leave your eraser in its plastic packaging, it should last for years before drying becomes any type of problem. If your eraser is super crumbly no matter how much you knead the crumbs together, we can still make it work.
A classic from Paper Mate, and a great deal in the 12 pack, this is the artists’ favorite, and mine as well.
They crumbled when used, they were too sensitive to weather conditions and often picked up an unpleasant smell. You can use an electric eraser for this purpose, though a kneaded eraser will likely do the trick, especially as they can be shaped into a precise form. It performs very well when it comes to highlighting, and it allows you to create subtle fade-out effects on your drawing.
