About this deal

The banter between the main characters is so good and their pranks are so funny. I love Drew and Jessie so much!! Immature characters. This sadly goes to Jessie again because god.. sometimes I forget she’s pregnant with all that’s happening. this book is without a doubt my new favorite by sarah. jessie and drew have a ton of chemistry and i couldn’t stop smiling through the entirety of the book. let me list the tropes because they’re my top tier ones:

The Temporary Roomie: A bestselling Romantic Comedy ǀ A

Drew Marshall may have let me move into his spare bedroom while my house is being renovated, but don’t think for one second his kindness comes without strings. Big, ugly, fake relationship strings.Born and raised in Nashville TN, Sarah Adams loves her family, warm days, and making people smile. Sarah has dreamed of being a writer since she was a girl, but finally wrote her first novel when her daughters were napping and she no longer had any excuses to put it off. While I did hate Drew in the first book, this book did show a nice side to Drew and he was adorable at times. But there was absolutely no chemistry and I honestly couldn't wrap my head around how he dealt with Jessie. And as is with Sarah's books there must just be something she likes about the 'miscommunation trope' :/

The Temporary Roomie: A Romantic Comedy: Adams, Sarah

Drew me sorprendió muchísimo. Content: a few instances of mild swearing. Kissing- making out, behind doors intimacy with no details but you know it happens. I really wanted to love this book, but I just didn’t. The Cheat Sheet by Sarah Adams was one of my favourite books of last year. It was hilarious and I remember having a smile on my face the entire time I read it. However, for me, the Temporary Roomie completely missed the mark. If you are just starting out with reading, I think you may like this but for me personally, I have been craving more depth in the books I read, and TTR just did not have that. I didn’t feel the spark between the two main characters, and they just seemed to handle everything very immaturely. I didn't like the characters and therefore couldn't get into the storyline. It just wasn’t for me.

The Temporary Roomie: A bestselling Romantic Comedy ? A hilarious romance of enemies turned lovers as seen on TikTok Once again I'm never gonna hate anyone who enjoyed this book, it's their choice but I'm just too determined to think that now her books are definitely not for me. I just can't deal with the pettiness and the way the characters are not really adults okay? They're more like children advertised as adults. Jessie has experienced a lot of loss already and it translates to her pushing everyone away and never accepting help. I understand that and think she could really benefit from therapy to work through her feelings of abandonment. I gave her some leeway because of this, but it doesn't excuse the mean things she says.
