About this deal
By working with a variety of trusted Range Plus Partners, we’re able to offer our customers a wider selection of products.
The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: Give shoes and more somewhere stylish and protective to keep them - grab this slimline cabinet from HOMCOM. There are two flip drawers, each can hold four pairs - perfect for use with the family or your flatmates. The inner shelf can be set to two different positions for storage which fits your shoes better. It's made from a blend of MDF and particle board, so it's durable. Finished with a handy top drawer and glass shelf, offering even more storage and display space. The drawers (we have a drawer each) fits our shoes well, our son has room for more and currently has 3 pairs of trainers and a pair wellies but he is a toddler. My drawer is a struggle but that is because one of my 2 pairs are knee high boots but I know summer when I am out of boots there would be enough room for 4-6 pairs but I am a size 5 and I wear non bulky footwear in the summer. My husband is size 10 and currently has 3 pairs of trainers which is probably his limit. This is not a product to store all your footwear (unless you don’t have a big selection of footwear) but is great to hide the few pair laying around. Ample Storage Space: The cabinet features three adjustable flip down drawers, offering ample space to store your shoes. These drawers are designed specifically for shoe storage, allowing you to neatly organize your footwear and keep your room clutter free.
For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond.
It has only two legs and definitely needs to drill on wall to fix it safely. You can't use the upper door without a drill fixing as the entire unit moves when you open the top compartment. ( I have a feeling this product won't last much so haven't drilled to wall yet)
I also love the little shelf, currently I have our gloves, scarves and hats on it, will probably end up with the dog lead on there too. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions.
Range of Colour Options: The Vida shoe cabinet is available in a range of different colours. This variety enables you to choose the cabinet that best complements the existing décor within your home. Whether you prefer a classic white, a warm pine, or a bold and vibrant walnut, there are plenty of colour options for you to choose from.. At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. You CANNOT use this without fixing it to the wall but of all of the Ikea products we have brought (5 wardrobes, 2 chest of drawers, 2 desks) this was the one item that DOES NOT come with any wall fixings. I took my husband longer to make them secure, we brought 2, than it did to build them.
